NGI Distinguished Lecture Series Hosts Bill Anderson and Janet Jackel

The Alliance Center for Collaboration, Education, Science and Software
(ACCESS) in Arlington, VA, will host the next Next Generation Internet
(NGI) Distinguished Lecturer Series event on Friday, June 23 at 1 p.m. CST
(2 p.m. EST). The webcast lecture will feature Bill Anderson and Janet
Jackel of Telcordia Technologies. Anderson is the director of the optical
networking systems engineering research group at Telcordia.
Their talk, titled "Optical Networking for the NGI," will discuss optical
networking as a solution for the explosive growth in demand for bandwidth
through the world. They will review the technologies that make optical
networking possible, as well as the attributes that make it valuable.
