HDF Team Releases H5View

NCSA's Hierarchical Data Format (HDF) team announced the release of H5View, a graphic utility for viewing the contents of HDF5 files, in June. H5View version 1.0 is the first release of the Java HDF5 Viewer and was intended to provide basic browsing features for HDF5 files. H5View requires the Java HDF5 Interface. More advanced browsing and editing features will be included in future releases and in releases of other tools. The HDF team develops and supports software and file formats for scientific data management. HDF software includes I/O libraries and tools for analyzing, visualizing, and converting scietific data.
