October 3, 2000
The SC2000 Education Program is offering 25 groups of four teachers from around the country the opportunity to participate in the conference in Dallas next month.
Teachers will spend six days learning computer modeling and simulation and how it can be applied to science and mathematics curricula. They will visit numerous booths on the conference exhibit floor that specifically have education programs to offer.
After SC2000, these teachers will continue to receive support from SC2000 staff and continue training at regional forums. The selected teachers are expected to share their experiences with a new group of teachers at the SC2001. In additon they are expected to be leaders in their school systems for a wider adoption of modeling and simulation by the additional teachers.
Education Program sessions are scheduled from 1 p.m. Saturday, November 4 through 2 p.m. Thursday, November 9 in the Dallas Convention Center.
