SIAM to Hold First Workshop on Data Mining

The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) will hold its first International Conference on Data Mining April 5 - 7, 2001, in Chicago. The conference will provide a forum for presenting recent results in data mining, including applications, algorithms, software and systems. The conference will feature peer reviewed contributed papers as well invited talks.

Three workshops will be held in conjunction with the conference—all on April 7. Those workshops are: Mining Scientific Data Sets, Data Mining for Genomics, and Web Mining. For more information on the workshops and the conference, see http://www.siam.org/meetings/sdm01/.
