Next Faculty Fellows Lecture Scheduled

released March 26, 2002

The next scheduled NCSA/University of Illinois Faculty Fellows Brown Bag lecture will take place Wednesday, March 27, from noon to 1 p.m. in room 4269 of the Beckman Institute. The lecture will be webcast at http://mediavectra.ncsa.uiuc.edu/kuchma/.

The lecture will feature Faculty Fellow Daniel Kuchma. His presentation, "The Development of Tools and Procedures for Assessing the Capabilities of Non-Linear Simulation Models for Structural Design and Analysis," will address a structural engineering project using the newly developed Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMMs).

The Faculty Fellows Program (FFP) offers one-year fellowships to U of I faculty engaged in research projects that could benefit from access to the world-class computing facilities and expert staff at NCSA. The program is funded by NCSA, the University of Illinois, and the office of the Vice Chancellor for Research. The Brown Bag seminar series gives current Faculty Fellows the opportunity to present and discuss their research projects with their fellow university colleagues and with the NCSA/Alliance community.

For a listing of this year's Brown Bag seminars, please visit the Faculty Fellows Program website, http://www.ncsa.uiuc.edu/Divisions/DirOffice/campusrelations/FFP/ThirdSet.html.
