Register Now for Access Grid Technical Retreat 2003

released March 25, 2003

The Access Grid Technical Retreat 2003 will take place April 15-16 at Argonne National Laboratory. The deadline for registration is March 28.

The goals of the retreat are to move the Access Grid Community from Access Grid (AG) 1.0 to 2.0 and to increase community involvement in the development of tools and infrastructure for version 2.0. The plenary track will examine issues such as how to become a platform for grid computing, how to build a grid community, grid security, and innovative uses of the grid. Topics in the developers’ track will include building applications on top of the AG 2.0 platform, extensions to virtual venues, and Globus. The users' track will discuss bringing people into the AG community, troubleshooting, operating AG 2.0, and developing status and timelines that are geared towards users.

Formal registration is required in order to enter Argonne's campus. Registration information and costs, as well as additional information about the retreat, can be found at http://www.mcs.anl.gov/fl/events/agr2003/.
