Transition to IBM p690 Workshop

NCSA research programmer Ian Brooks will give a four-day workshop for users moving from the SGI Origin 2000 to the IBM p690 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 23–26 in Room E102A, South Research Park Z Building, 1901 S. First St., Champaign. The workshop will cover the p690 system architecture and features, the differences in compilers, libraries, and the batch system to access software and hardware. The workshop will include lecture/discussion session in the morning and hands-on experience in the afternoons. If possible, please bring your own laptop for the hands-on session and indicate this on the registration form.

The workshop is intended for users of NCSA supercomputers—students, postdoctoral staff, faculty, and staff. Priority will be given to current Origin 2000 users. Enrollment is limited.
