Workshop Covers OSCAR Installation

There will be a workshop on installing OSCAR 2.5 from 1 to 2 p.m. on Sept. 9 in Room E102A at the South Research Park Building, 1901 S. First St., Champaign; the workshop is also available via the Access Grid.

OSCAR (Open Source Cluster Application Resources) is a cluster software stack that simplifies the process of configuring and maintaining a Linux cluster. NCSA software engineer Neil Gorsuch will provide an overview of the features of the latest version of OSCAR, which is developed by the Open Cluster group, a nationwide research collaboration dedicated to making cluster computing practical for high-performance computing.
