The HPC Revolution 2004 Conference Scheduled

released October 07, 2003

The Fifth International Conference on Linux Clusters: The HPC Revolution 2004 is scheduled to take place May 17-20, 2004. Researchers, users, vendors, and developers of Linux clusters will gather at the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) at the University of Austin in Austin, Texas, for the conference and a full day of tutorials.

At HPC Revolution 2004, the Linux high-performance cluster community will learn about the latest hardware and software developments and current research. The conference will feature a broad range of papers and presentations from HPC and large-scale cluster computing professionals in academia, industry, and government. The technical program includes both peer-reviewed paper presentations and discipline- and industry-specific sessions. Researchers, developers, and industry leaders will have the opportunity to present their experiences with applications, tools, user-environments, and administration of large-scale clusters. Industry vendors and users from petroleum and geophysics, bioinformatics, aerospace and automotive, and finance sectors are specifically invited.

The conference program committee is soliciting papers, tutorials, and technical presentations on a broad range of topics related to systems integration, operation and support, end-user applications, tools, and experiences. The submission deadline for both papers and tutorials is Jan. 30, 2004. Technical presentations may be submitted through March 5, 2004.
