SCC Seminar Scheduled for Thursday

A multidisciplinary panel of experts will consider fresh ways to look at global problems during "Visualizing the Global: Computer Modeling, Ecology, Politics" from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 16) in the Beckman Institute Auditorium.

Part of the Silicon, Carbon and Culture (SCC) campus initiative, "Visualizing the Global" will present a series of speakers and a panel discussion. Contributors are Donna Cox of the National Center for Supercomputing Applications; Fernando Elichirigoity of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC); Bruce Hannon of UIUC; Katharine Hayhoe, an independent consultant; and Clark A. Miller of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
