Details on Federal Technology Budget Now Available

A supplement to President Bush's fiscal year 2004 budget has been released and emphasizes the critical importance of networking and information technologies developed with the support of federal grant funding.

The report, "Advanced Foundations for American Innovation," describes the administration's investments in the Networking and Information Technology Research and Development (NITRD) Program and is now on the Web at http://www.nitrd.gov/.

The report also summarizes FY 2003 accomplishments and FY 2004 plans for the NITRD Program.

The proposed 2004 budget for NITRD is $2.15 billion, an increase of more than $170 million over FY 2003.
