MPI Workshop via Access Grid

released October 23, 2003

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 29 a workshop will be offered on "Using MPI (Globus Version) on the Alliance Grid Testbed." The workshop will originate at the Ohio Supercomputing Center (OSC) and will be available locally via the Access Grid from Room E102A at NCSA's South Research Park building, 1901 S. First St., Champaign.

OSC's David Ennis will introduce using the Globus Version of the Message Passing Interface (MPI) on the Alliance Grid Testbed (AGT). This workshop is intended for novice AGT programmers and will give a step-by-step procedure for running MPI programs on the AGT. Attendees will also be given hands-on instruction and will use the AGT to run test parallel programs. For further information, see http://alliance.osc.edu/mpi_globus/.
