EMBOSS Courses Scheduled

A series of courses on Bioinformatics Software Development using EMBOSS will be held at the Wellcome Trust Genome Campus in Hinxton, Cambridge, United Kingdom on Jan. 13-15, April 20-22, July 28-30, and Nov. 2-4 2004.

The course will give an introduction to programming in EMBOSS (European Molecular Biology Open Software Suite), an open-source software for sequence analysis.

The course is suitable for competent programmers with at least a couple of years of experience. A reasonable working knowledge of C is required; familiarity with pointers is helpful but not essential.
