SDSC Summer Computing Institute to focus on 'Extreme I/O'

released April 19, 2005

SDSC will be holding its annual Summer Computing Institute July 25-29 with the theme "Extreme I/O." The week-long program will provide researchers with an in-depth and hands-on look at the concepts and tools for creating, manipulating, and analyzing large data sets as part of large-scale parallel computations.

Free accommodations in UCSD student housing are available to all out-of-town attendees, and meals are provided for all. Travel stipends will be available for qualified, matriculating graduate and undergraduate students at U.S. colleges and universities.

A detailed agenda and the application form will be posted soon at http://www.sdsc.edu/user_services/training/.
