Seminar to introduce National Laboratory for Advanced Data Research

released May 27, 2005

As part of the Cyberinfrastructure Seminar Series sponsored by NCSA and the San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC), there will be a presentation on the National Laboratory for Advanced Data Research (NLADR) from 1 to 2:30 p.m. (CST) on June 14. The seminar will be live from both NCSA and SDSC, and will also be presented over the Access Grid. At NCSA, the seminar will take place in Room 3414 of the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology.

The National Laboratory for Advanced Data Research (NLADR) is a collaborative research and development activity in advanced data technologies between the NCSA and SDSC. This presentation will describe how NLADR is addressing the challenges facing research scientists in the areas of distributed data integration, search, collaborative exploration, mining, and visualization by the creation of a scalable infrastructure to support these data-driven capabilities.

The Cyberinfrastructure Seminar Series is a set of presentations on cyberinfrastructure and related research organized by the NCSA and SDSC training coordinators. For more details regarding the AG venue for this seminar, please refer to http://agschedule.ncsa.uiuc.edu/meetingdetails.asp?MID=9412.
