REVITALISE workshop to be June 13-24

released June 01, 2005

Teachers and administrators from 10 Illinois school districts will attend a REVITALISE workshop at NCSA June 13-14.

REVITALISE (Rural Educators Using Visualization to Inspire Teacher Advancement and Learning to Improve Science and Mathematics Education) is a collaboration between NCSA and East Carolina University. The program focuses on creating a virtual learning environment for rural middle and high school mathematics and science teachers to help reduce teacher isolation and stimulate a renewed excitement for teaching and learning. REVITALISE provides educators with advanced visualization tools and provides instruction from experts in both states through the use of the Access Grid.

The Illinois districts currently participating in REVITALISE are Dakota, Dwight, Rankin, Gillespie, Roxana, Somonauk, Unity Point, Lake City, Wayne City, and Pikeland.
