Workshop to provide hands-on Abaqus training
released October 05, 2005
A free Abaqus training workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 25-27 in Room 1030 of the NCSA Building. The workshop, conducted by Bill Brothers of Abaqus Central, will provide a hands-on introduction to using the general purpose finite element analysis package, which can be used to simulate the response of structures and solid bodies to loads, impacts, and thermal stress. Abaqus can also be used to visualize the results of these simulations.
Laptop computers will be provided for use by workshop attendees. If you bring your own laptop, it must have either Linux OS, or Windows OS with Exceed 3D installed in order to remotely access Abaqus GUIs from NCSA machines.
Attendence is limited to the first twenty registrants. To register, please complete the registration form by Oct. 21.
