TRECC to sponsor Workshop on Storage Security and Survivability

released October 31, 2005

The Technology Research, Education and Commercialization Center (TRECC) has organized the First International Workshop on Storage Security and Survivability (StorageSS'05), to be held Nov. 11 at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.

Focusing on "The Paradigm Shift to Info-Centric Protection," the workshop is intended to "stimulate thought on info-centric solutions in order to reshape computer storage protection strategies" and to foster a greater exchange between computer protection and computer storage researchers and professionals. Chaired by Bill Yurcik of NCSA and co-chaired by Larry Brumbaugh, also of NCSA, and Assistant Professor Yuanyuan Zhou of the UIUC Department of Computer Science, the workshop will be held in conjunction with the 12th ACM Conference on Computer and Communications Security (CCS'05).

TRECC is a University of Illinois program funded by the Office of Naval Research (ONR) and administered by NCSA.
